Environmental Policy Statement

Our environmental strategy is to manage business processes in order that potential impacts to the environment are reduced to a practicable minimum. The organisation is committed to operating an Environmental System that satisfies the requirements of ISO 14001:2015. 

In the management of our business, we will engage in continuous improvement in our environmental performance, giving due consideration to the matters set out below.

Wherever practicable, we will:

  • Design activities and processes to minimise environmental impact
  • Take measures to protect the environment, including prevention of pollution to air, land, water and natural resources
  • Improve energy efficiency to minimise our overall carbon footprint
  • Conserve water
  • Regulate process impacts releasing odour, noise & effluent to the atmosphere
  • Reduce waste materials necessitating landfill or incineration in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990
  • Maximise the reuse and recycling of recoverable materials
  • Ensure unavoidable waste disposal is undertaken in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ensure responsible disposal of Waste Electrical Electronic & Equipment (‘WEEE’) with WEEE accredited agencies
  • Replace COSHH materials with low environmental impact alternatives.
  • Set objectives and targets for improvement in performance

We will comply with or exceed the requirements of all prevailing environmental legislation and compliance obligations.

We will promote this policy both within and outside of M&I Materials Ltd.

We will review this policy on an annual basis.
